Our homeschool group would like to sing the Angelus (or, in this season, the Regina Caeli) as a group during our gatherings. What are your customs for singing or saying these prayers in groups?
We sing the simple Regina caeli, but typically speak the Angelus.
The Choristers (youth) have the Regina caeli memorized. They had to learn it from solfege and text only. Granted, it's a short and simple chant, but those fresh minds are amazing.
This year the Choir is ready for the solemn Regina caeli. Exciting.
Here's a link to a PDF of the Angelus in Latin and English (traditional translation).
The solemn tone of Penitential Act B is applied to the verses, while the solemn tone of the Mass orations is applied to the Ave and concluding prayer (which is the Collect for Fourth Sunday of Advent).
