In putting together the skeins of loose ends with Moses at the Jordan River, I made a demo recording of a chorale that might find a place in the right service. The whole is short, about 1 1/2 minutes. SATB, a cappella, intonation markings included. It suits the tonal movement of the oratorio to be in F#, but could easily be used in F. Easy rhythm; medium in range (G# for soprano, F# for tenor, otherwise narrow ranges); perhaps challenging in reading the key and occasional accidentals and a soprano skip of a diminished octave.
My recollection was that I used the King James version when putting together the text, in this case Numbers 24:5-6, but when I rechecked the text is different there ... the text as set, with repetitions:
:"How fair are your tents, O Jacob, O Jacob, How fair are your tents, O Jacob. Your encampments, O Israel.
Like valleys that stretch, Like valleys that stretch afar, Like gardens beside the river.
How fair are your tents, O Jacob, O Jacob, How fair are your tents, O Jacob. "
