Nestor - I Saw Water

This year I'm putting together a program. We are using Nestor's "I Saw Water" and wondered if anyone had typeset (if that is the proper verb here) the refrain and if I could borrow that. I'd like to include the refrain in the program and I understand I am not breaking copyright because I do have enough originals. Thanks.
  • There should be a congregational refrain in the choral versions which you can copy and insert into the program if you're using the published GIA version.

If you are looking for a formatting different from that of the reprint box on the octavo, you may wish to check out no. 314 in Worship IV.

If you're only printing the refrain, it's not a copyright issue, as the refrain is from a much older source (Nestor borrowed it, re-harmonized it, and wrote verses). If you only use the melody of the refrain, there is no copyright issues at all, iirc.

Thank you. I'm in Canada and we don't use Worship Hymnals. Thanks Ben. I didn't want to be accused of copyright infringement! I've tried to be good about this. Yes, Rob, you are right, but I wanted to make the programs neat and clean and so would love a PDF copy to transfer, like I did for the SEP, Roman Missal and Simplex. Thanks all!
  • Here is what I've used in years past for the refrain in the program.
