Do you happen to know where I could find the scores for the three Dominican rite hymns Exsultet mentis jubilo, Thomas insignis genere, and Lauda, mater Ecclesia, mentioned in these pages of Dom Guéranger's The Liturgical Year?
thanks, and happy feast day of St. Thomas Aquinas! ☺
They are all found in Hymnarium (O.P.) which was recently published by the Dominican Friars of the Province of St. Joseph, New York. The hymns are all found in the Proper of Saints, under January 28: St. Thomas Aquinas, O.P., Priest, Doctor of the Church. Thomas insignis genere is the hymn at Matins, on pp. 260-61; Lauda, mater Ecclesia is the hymn at Laus, on p. 263; and Exsultet mentis jubilo is the hymn at Vespers, on pp. 266-267. Each of these Latin hymns is followed by the same hymn in English translation, to the same melody.
Hymnarium is an excellent volume and should be in the collection of anyone with an interest in or connection to the Dominicans.
There are also 3 other Dominican Hymns for Translation of St. Thomas Aquinas, Superna mater inclyta is sung at Vespers, Iubar caelorum prodiens at Matins, and Aurora pulchra rutilans at Lauds.
