Several folks have asked about how to find specific chants in the NOH.

What you need to do is:

    (1) Download the 1961 Graduale (or the 1908) and the Liber Usualis. Both are provided free on musicasacra.com

    (2) Download the NOH from here.

    (3) Then, locate the correct INDEX in the Graduale and the Liber Usualis. Make sure you are looking at the correct index (the one that lays out alphabetically all the INTROITS, COMMUNIONS, etc. and says their mode). Some chants are only located in the Graduale and NOT the Liber, and vice versa.

    (4) Find the chant you want. Notive what feast(s) it occurred on in the old Calendar.

    (5) Using the BOOKMARKS, use the NOH index to find that feast.

    (6) if your NOH does not have bookmarks, then you need to go back and download the latest version of the NOH.

    Happy hunting!

    P.S.

    (7) If you enjoy the NOH, please donate $3 to Corpus Christi Watershed (it helps us more than you know).

    (8) If you enjoy the GRADUALE or LIBER USUALIS or THIS FORUM or EVERYTHING ELSE CMAA HAS PROVIDED, please donate to CMAA.
