    Noel:

    Keep up the good work!

BTW... Did you see my new publishing site?
  • Yes, I did visit myopus.com and, as always am impressed with your compositional skills!

I suggest that everybody add a link from their sites and blogs to www.myopus.com for every link raises the google standing of this excellent Catholic music site.

If you do a google search in : catholic music site you get:

    OCP
    Spirit & Song
    CMAA!

Pretty impressive when a low-budget group assails the corporate giants, no?

if you search Roman Catholic Music, I come up number 3! Not bad for someone who does NO SEO or marketing except here on CMAA.

I also recently picked up catholicsacredmusic.com when it came available.
  • People, if you write chorale preludes on hymns but scratch them out on paper, do not hesitate to contact me, the submission requirements above are for an ideal world.

But I am on a deadline, so if interested in submitting or wanting a tune to write about, contact me, thanks!

  • What about French-style settings of chant? For example I've got a Plein-Jeu and Cornet en Dessus based on Pange Lingua. They're kinda short, though.
  • Short is fine, French is excellent. These are designed to be preludes to hymns, not lengthy, but to be used to introduce the hymn melody over a few weeks and also as an option to introduce the hymn.

Chant hymns in popular use, like this one, are included.
  • Let me get this straight:
I write a piece based on a hymn tune.
    I send it to you.
    You do what with it?
  • If chosen, it would be published in a book and you would receive royalties on any sales of the book.
