January 15th is the Feast of St Paul the First Hermit, which will be locally celebrated as a Solemnity as the clergy from one of the parishes I serve are of the order of Paul the First Hermit.
A couple of years ago I wrote a verse in honour of St Francis Xavier to go with the hymn "By All Your Saints Still Striving", which was well-received. I would like some feedback on another hymn verse, this time for Paul the First Hermit.
All thanks for Paul the Hermit, who prayed alone to Thee, with solitude and penance, all for true sanctity. Grant us thine strength and wisdom, and strengthen us in love, that we may live to serve thee, and turn our minds above.
