Counting is fun on that piece, as with all the Poulenc Christmas motets. Be sure and make note that an eighth is an eighth. Also, pay attention to the tenor tessitura in the solo passage. Makes for real fun....
We just sang it in school, an ensemble of about 16 college voice students. We visited it in way more than three rehearsals. Tuning the chords on the eighth-note passages is a job.
