50 years ago yesterday was promulgated the Vatican II encyclical "Sacrosanctum Concilium".

Fr. Z had a few funny/ sad posts about it. In one of them he coined the term "Bugninicare". Lol

8 or so years ago I started to feel something was amiss in my home parish.
Read some Ratzinger. Then some more. Then some Vatican documents including Sacrosanctum Concilium and stuff by Pius X and XII.
And JPII, who the anti-BXVI's just LOVED. Bummer for them (frustrating for me) that he liked all this weird Roman stuff too.
Ugh. Someday. -
And then came Francis, their savior, who just reinforces what his predecessors said (maybe a little more off-the-cuff, but he's been pretty clear that this is not a people-oriented liturgy).
Again, ugh. Someday. -
Brick by brick, stone by stone. We SHALL rebuild!
