Mark Hayes' Piano Solos for Christmas

I've been playing Mark Hayes' "Emmanuel: Artful piano solos for Christmas" for fun the last couple of days, and these arrangements are truly delightful. My kids actually stopped what they were doing and crowded around the piano to see what I was playing. The real test was our snobby tuxedo cat who jumped on the piano bench and curled up next to me, purring. He never cuddles up to anyone voluntarily but even this apparently got to him, too. This book is a real winner.

Hayes is as good a craftsman as Rutter, Leavitt and that bunch, only a little more honest about it.
