I would like to have my little "schola" (self plus my three teens) sing this before Christmas Eve Mass. We are very much newbies at this so I would like to find the simplest plus nicest arrangement for our four voices. We can sing SATB, two, three, or just one voice if that would be best. Suggestions?
Oh man you just took me back. I remember the California Boys Choir singing Britten's Ceremony of Carols at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles. The opening "Hodie, Christus natus est" in plainchant while the boys processed down the aisles was unbelievably moving. The melody is so beautiful that I can imagine it having the same impression even today.
