Composing/Arranging Office and Mass

    We all know that the this is the duty of Sacred Congregation of Rites before the Council, but nowadays, has anyone tried composing one, say, for a newly-canonised Saint, notwithstanding the official Collect that Rome releases?

    I'd wait for the Church to release an official antiphon text and allocate the Psalm.

    Reading into that article, the great irony here being that an application of "et alius cantus aptus" means that we can actually use these texts at a mass celebrated in honour of this saint. But in the Extraordinary Form, one is forced to use the commons.
