Mysterium fidei in the OF: context with different settings of the Ordinary

Question: do those of you in OF parishes that use Latin ordinaries always use the "Mortem tuam" from the liturgical books, or do you use a "neo-Gregorian" setting of this? Our rector prefers Latin memorial acclamation with Latin ordinary parts (although the canon is in English, FYI), but there is also the assumption that the Doxology and Amen will be sung to something more "elaborate" than a simple Amen.

I'm interested in anyone's solutions to this. With Mass VIII, we use my predecessor's very successful "Englishing" of the Mysterium Fidei to a little snippet of the Sanctus melody. Thanks for your ideas!
  • For the Latin memorial acclamations there are three settings. One is provided in the Missale Romanum. The other two are from Psallite Domino, Canti per la Messa. See this document for all three compositions.

Yes, we use the "Mortem tuam" exclusively during Advent and Lent when we sing Latin Ordinaries.
  • We use the "mortem tuam" exclusively.
  • Same here.

Thanks all. Just solemn tone doxology followed by a simple amen, too? Just wondering...
  • Only if Father sings the doxology. We always sing the Amen though.
