What was the name of that book?
  • A couple of weeks back I read about a book in a thread on this forum - but the thread came from some time earlier, and now I can't find it.
It mentioned a book which talks about the meaning of the Latin Introits, from the musical perspective - how the Introits are shaped, and what it means.
I looked up the book on Amazon, and second-hand copies are available, but I didn't bookmark it. Now I can't remember either the name of the book or the author... :( [And it's gone from my Amazon browsing history.]
    Can anyone help? Thanks!
  • Perhaps you mean Johner.

  • No that wasn't it - but thanks for the link, I've downloaded a copy.
The book I looked at was published in the USA in the early 1960s.
  • Could it be John C. Murrett, The Message of the Mass Melodies (Collegeville, Liturgical Press, 1960)?

  • YES! That's it! Thank you so much!
    :)
