Laetare, a new choir based in Bloomington, IN, and dedicated to exploring sacred choral music in its intended liturgical context, is now auditioning members for its 2013-2014 season. Performances will encompass a variety of repertoire from Gregorian chant to 20th-century sacred works. In addition to deepening our own understanding of the sacred choral tradition, Laetare's goal is to expose congregations in the Bloomington area to the riches of their particular liturgical traditions.

After a successful first season, we are currently auditioning singers for alto and tenor vacancies. Upcoming performances include the Byrd Mass for Four Voices (et al.) in a Latin mass on All Saints' Day, and Hugo Distler's Weihnachtsgeschichte during Advent.
Rehearsals take place on Tuesday evenings in Bloomington. Email laetarebloomington@gmail.com for details.
