    After making previous threads, I understand that the composing of psalms must be approved by the USCCB Secretariat.

    What approvals are required for hymns?

    That depends on whom you ask.

    Theoretically- your Bishop, or some person or committee authorized to act on his behalf in this matter.

    In practice... could be no one.

    Depending on your level of scrupulosity, you should contact the Office of Worship (or whatever it is called in your diocese) in your diocese.
