Food for the liturgical year...

I stumbled upon this Catholic food blog, and their "Heavenly Assumption Parfaits" (blue jello and cool whip!) I thought it would be fun to share, especially for other families with young kids to teach them about the liturgical year!

Sure, it's not music, but it looks like a lot of fun.

Great ideas there, although I think Peach Blueberry Cobbler (with freshly grated nutmeg) is very appropriate for the Feast of Assumption, too! We are being deluged with peaches at the market, and I can't keep up with all the blueberries in my yard.

Though I see it could be confusing: Green Jell-O for St. Patrick's Day or Sundays per annum?
  • It's already green beer for St Paddy's so the Jell-O is available for other times

Or you could fast like the easterners do, and have real foods for liturgical seasons.
