In the cathedral of my diocese every year the First Vespers of our Diocesan Patron, holy Bishop and Confessor Liborius, are celebrated according to the EF rite for Pontifical Vespers, with the only exception of the oration, which is taken from the OF missal. The cathedral chapter chose to adhere to the old solemn rite for this occasion when the new Liturgy of Hours was introduced. (I suppose this is the only cathedral in the world to have celebrated Tridentine Pontifical Vespers annually until at least Ecclesia Dei.) The diocesan radio and TV station has the video of last years Vespers online and will broadcast this years Vespers on Saturday 3pm MEST, ie 9am EST.
