I wish this instruction got more attention. It seems to be a bit “cleaner” and less plagued by seeming inconsistencies than its 1967 successor.
To give an example, the traditional Mass Ordinary is preserved here. Now, one may think that this alone is not a virtue, but given that the Kyriale still groups the chant ordinaries together in the traditional groupings, the modern rite does a bit of double-speak by considering the Sanctus to be an acclamation.
