All Saints Old hymn tune
  • Hi everyone,

I'm looking for more information on the hymn tune all saints old. I believe it is in the 1982 hymnal as 'who are they like stars appearing'. I'm looking for an organ setting of this hymn tune as well. Does anyone know of a organ prelude exists on this hymn tune? I've done a good amount of searching online and found nothing!

    Thanks!!
  • This tune is used three (3) times in the Campion Hymnal for the Latin Mass:

I agree it is a wonderful tune, and here is a sample to help people learn:

    Paul,

I'm looking for an organ prelude on this hymn tune. Do you know where I can find one??

It's one of my favorite hymn tunes!!
  • musicman --- sorry for the delay --- on the PIPORG-L list, they recommended that the "only possibilities are chorale preludes by Flor Peeters, Andres Barner (1835-1910), and Elias Oechsler (1850-1917)."

    Hope this helps !
