    Got a new teeny tiny keyboard today. Went to try it out and played this melody into Sib. Once I staggered it into four parts, I discovered it was a canon. Just a fun little ditty. I guess it should be nicknamed the "AKAI DITTY".

    I agree with Adam, quite 'Christmassy'--I'll add it to the instrumental parts of Christmas Eve's prelude concert. This year, because we're doing the Reimann Op. 110, I've added a flute and clarinet to the usual string quartet, and since they are private (college) students of colleagues of mine, they are eating up everything I send them and begging for more (and they have really good chops :-)

    Of course it is more like a round, so you can repeat it as many times as seems appropriate before the fade away.
