Any recommendation for easy solo pieces for wedding (Sop.) that can be sung before the Mass?

I'd appreciate any help. (Pieces in public domain would be great.)
Or links to the discussion where I can find the list?

Wherever You Go (Song of Ruth) is kind of nice. Or maybe it was just because it was my sister's wedding...or that my niece was singing...:)

You could sing the introit right before Mass from either the Graduale or SEP.

How nostalgically Catholic is the Bride's mom?
  • Classical-ish:

Laudate Dominum, Mozart, from Vesperae Solennes de Confessore
    Alleluia, Mozart, from Exultate Jubilate
Ave Maria - Schubert or Bach or Caccini

    O Caritas, Hildegaard von Bingen
    Ave Maris Stella (

what about Ubi Caritas, good ole GC version... beautiful for a prelude, yes? Ya know, I happened to arrange the Durufle harmonies for solo and organ. You are welcome to use it!

Here's some Vivaldi for solo soprano and organ; is this of any use? I found it via ChoralWiki:

Thank you for all the help.

A friend of the bride will be singing, and I wanted keep better suggestions, in case she asks for pop-style songs.

Thanks again, and I'll keep them in my list.

You might try "Mother, At Your Feet is Kneeling." It's a traditional Catholic hymn to Our Lady, but the third verse is specifically for weddings and was very commonly used in the past.

    The Mozart-easy?
    Try some JSB
Bist du bei Mir (remember it's prelude)
    Jesu, Joy
  • O Perfect Love by Joel Martinson - Paraclete Press
  • If your church allows modern Praise and Worship music Lifesong by Casting Crowns is an excellent wedding song

Ralph Vaughan Williams's The Call: "Come, my Way, my Truth, my Life" - in the original version, but please, not the bowdlerized version found in some hymnals.
