Holy Infant Catholic Parish in Ballwin, Missouri is seeking a Director of Music Ministries. This ministry's two primary responsibilities include: planning music for the parish's ordinary Mass celebrations, Holy Days and other sacramental events; and, conducting the parish's adult SATB choir that practices and performs weekly and at special parish liturgical events. In addition, the candidate must possess the ability to select appropriate music for the adult choir, schedule musicians for all liturgical celebrations, play the organ and be available to accompany at two to three Masses per weekend. The ability to recruit, instruct and coordinate cantors, choir members and instrumentalists will be an integral component of this ministry. This ministry will coordinate with existing parish musical groups and over time, may be called to form additional liturgical groups such as men's, women's and children's choirs and orchestral groups. The successful candidate must have earned a degree in music (Master in Music degree is a plus), be skilled at playing the organ and have experience with the responsibilities noted above. The parish has been blessed with a welcoming and prayerful community, cohesive parish staff and dedicated, talented musicians. The sanctuary includes a Rodgers 3 manual organ and a Yamaha grand piano. The facilities include an alcove adjacent to the sanctuary for the choir or orchestra and a dedicated spatial choir rehearsal room.
