Nuptial Sacred Polyphony
  • I am currently planning music for my wedding on the Feast of the Presentation. The Nuptial Mass will probably be in Latin but according to the Novus Ordo. The schola will be made up of six women of relatively equal voices, thus they will be singing three-part polyphony. If you had your own wedding schola to plan, which Mass Setting would you have (I'm leaning towards Byrd's Mass for Three Voices), and which Latin motets would you choose? Which organ voluntaries are your favorites for weddings?

Feel free to send any suggestions to m.couture@student.campion.edu.au or on this post directly. Thanks!

Anyone ever encounter a "Latinized" "Der Herr segnet euch."? I love doing that either in German or English at cool weddings, al be them few and far betwixt.
