The references on the forum I have seen refer to the 1952 edition...this one is dated 1912, so I don't know how helpful it will be to anyone, but I thought I would post it anyway.
Wendi, though I don't know the complete history of this hymnal, it definitely took a turn for the better after the 1939(ish) edition, when Msgr. Knox threw his numerous translations into the ring. They're incredible! And A. Gregory Murray contributed tons of his excellent accompaniments. It's a great hymnal, IMO.
The 1952 edition that Heath mentions was reprinted about 15 years ago by Roman Catholic Books. I believe it's out of print (I didn't find it at their website), but you can find used copies at the usual places. It's well worth searching out and obtaining a copy.
Not sure if it helps, but I've been getting some old out of copyright hymnbooks published with Lulu including the Westminster Hymnal. http://repleatur.net/hymnbooks/books/ Also Treasury of Catholic Song, St Basil's (1918), Arundel Hymns. I like how they've turned out - I have to use bulldog clips to hold them open on the organ though. Maybe should have gone for spiral binding, but I think this way lasts longer. We shall see.
