    Is the "Alleluia" (chant mode VI) the Alleluia for Easter?

    Yes, but not for the Gospel. That Alleluia is in mode VIII.

    The typical (one might say ubiquitous) mode VI Alleluia to which you are referring is (OF) an option for the communion antiphon. In the EF (1961 Holy Week), I believe it functioned similarly as an antiphon of (and segue to) Lauds of Easter Sunday, which was celebrated at the end of the Easter Vigil.
