Non-Roman Gospel etc. tones in Roman rite (EF)

    Is it allowed to use non-Roman (e.g. Benedictine, Dominican) Prophecy/Epistle/Gospel tones in Roman rite, while singing Mass according to Roman Missal 1962?

    The roman tones are the only ones approved.
    Note by the way that the Benedictines use them for these readings (they do not have different tones there).
    I would make an exception for special cases in use: the gospel of Easter Vigil and the epistle of Easter.

    The Graduale Romanum says in the Toni Communes section, that the use of received tones may be continued.
