May I recommend the lengthy article by Alex Ross in the current issue of the New Yorker entitled "Prince of Darkness." It's a well-written take on the ever-fascinating Prince of Venosa, Don Carlo Gesualdo.
Also, speaking of the New Yorker, go to dotCommonweal for Fr. Robert Imbelli's comments on the magazine's uncharacteristic editorial slip up regarding New York's best known Jesuit church. It's a hoot.
This is sort of an ongoing confusion. As one of the commenters over at dotCommonweal notes, the concert is at the high Anglican St Ignatius of Antioch. Both churches have well known music programs.
