    It's attribution to Palestrina is considered dubious, but, yes, it is a strict (authentic) canon. Here is Edward Tambling's edition of the work at CPDL.

    JMO, your version is "minor-ish", while Charles' is mixolydian, it seems . . . why the difference?

    I honestly don't know: but I had a feeling this piece might not be by Palestrina ... I am grateful for the info !
