Notes:
Carol Barnett is a member of the Augsburg College faculty in Minneapolis.
Charles H. Giffen is a musician, retired mathematician, and president of the Choral Public Domain Library who resides in North Hudson, WI. This concert marks the first Twin Cities area performances of This Advent moon, which was composed in the fall of 2009 for the composer's wife, Patricia, shortly after the untimely death of her father. The work is also being sung at Christ the Redeemer Church in Bryn Mawr, PA on November 27 and during Choral Evensong at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Exeter, UK on November 28.
Daniel Kallman has served on the St. Olaf music faculty and currently resides in Northfield, MN. He sets the hymn text "Once in royal David's city" to an original and very stirring tune.
Abbie Burt Betinis is the grandniece of Alfred Burt and lives in Saint Paul, MN. Her "Hail, Christmas Day!" is a spirited carol whose text was penned by her grandfather John Harris Burt and continues a tradition of carol writing begun by her great-grandfather, Rev. Bates G. Burt.
John Ferguson is a member of the St. Olaf music faculty.
