The Archdiocese of Louisville gave the parishes a timeline of catechesis for the new translation and at my parish, we are halfway through it this weekend. I am pleased to say that I have heard very little negative commentary on the changes. While we have perhaps done more than was needed, the response has been very positive. We have had handouts, before mass catechesis, before mass singing practice and small group sessions are planned.

All I can say is from this little corner of the Catholic world is that we have had good experiences so far. We will be ready on Advent 1.

Exciting times for Holy Mother Church.

This morning, the priest celebrating Mass decided to recite the Creed from the new translation on the pew card -- a little ahead of schedule, whether he knew it or not -- and everybody seemed to do just fine with it.
