1896 Liber Usualis
  • Hello,

Does anyone have a copy of the 1896 Liber usualis or the 1896 Paroissien romain? I am trying to determine whether that edition used quarter bars or not.

    Regards,

JMO has Pothier's 1895 Liber Gradualis at this page, in case it helps.

    Hello!

My memory is that the Liber of 1896 was nothing more than a compilation of Pothier's Liber Gradualis and Antiphonale, both of which can be downloaded in their entirety on LalandeLibrary.org.
  • Thanks for the responses. Pothier's books from the 1890s only use the full bar and the half bar. Combe talks about publications with the quarter bar already in the late 1890s, but doesn't seem to speak about whether the 1896 Liber uses it or not.
