Saint Peter's Catholic Church www.youtube.com/visitstpeters is seeking a multi-talented musician to sing for weekly parish liturgies (one Saturday evening Mass, two or three Sunday morning/Noon Masses, and Monday morning School Mass August - May; weddings and funerals as needed) and assist in the direction of our auditioned school choir (grades 3-6). Weekends off as mutually agreeable (even taking Christmas off is negotiable: Triduum/Easter, however, is non-negotiable). The qualified candidate will have musical fluency in sight singing from the treble clef (previous instrumental experience has proven to be extremely helpful); possess a clear, "straight" tone; be comfortable singing soprano II or alto; find singing polyphony one-on-a-part extremely enjoyable. Some admin duties as negotiated. Must be open to modeling Catholic ritual gesture and being a leader in Catholic worship. Diocesan background check required. Fluency and flexibility in standard English and Latin choral diction is assumed; some repertory is also sung in German and French. Saint Peter's Music Ministry welcomes professional and avocational musicians of all faiths to offer their skill and art for the worship of Almighty God in our beautiful, historic church with our delightfully diverse congregation.
