Anyone have a transposition of Victoria O Magnum down 3rd?
  • My ATTB schola needs Victoria's famous 'O Magnum Mysterium' transposed down a third to F (or anywhere close). Seems like every edition out there is for SATB or women's voices. I'm sure the original must have been nearer the key I want, but can't find it.

    Can anyone help?

Edward Tambling's excellent edition at CPDL is "in F" ... i.e. it has 1 flat in the key signature. By the way, that is the original key in which the work was published.
  • Thank you both so VERY much! I scoured Choralwiki and couldn't open some of the files, so did not find this. It's perfect. This is the most amazing group of musicians I think I've ever come across.

@ Linda ... and anyone else for whom it might be relevant ... seeing as how I'm pretty involved with CPDL ...

If you ever have problems with or questions about CPDL, don't hesitate to ask me either here or leave a message on my "talk" page at CPDL:
