Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church is inviting applications for the position of Director of Music and Organist. This 20-hour position involves providing music at two weekend liturgies and special feasts, rehearsing and directing the SATB choir, and planning appropriate music throughout the liturgical year. The ideal candidate will possess a degree in organ or choral conducting (or its equivalent), appropriate experience, thorough familiarity with Roman liturgy, and strong interpersonal skills. The organ is a four-manual Casavant built in 1929 in a beautiful acoustic (parish website: http://ascensionofourlord.ca/).
