seeking acoustician/consultant-assessment of church music installation
  • We had a digital organ installed at our church a few years back, and I would like to have an acoustician come and give an assessment of the present situation.

Also for two other church situations that are related to us that would need instruments.

Who do you recommend? I want someone who understands chant, polyphony and organ as the backbone of a music program in the Latin Rite who can give short and long term recommendations toward establishing goals for the single right direction for a music program.

Names? Email contacts? Suggestions? I am all ears!

Scott is very well regarded here in Milwaukee. He's a choral singer, has 30+ years' experience in acoustics work, and also MAY be an organist. Besides all that, he's a very nice guy.

But that's just for acoustics. He's not a music-program 'guidance' guy.

As above...acoustics. Sounds like you are actually looking for an all around church music consultant, though.
  • guess i am really looking for a Roman Catholic acoustician
  • In what general area are you located? That might help trigger some suggestions.
