Here is my new choral work, "Veni Sancte Spiritus." The text was taken from the Vespers Service for Pentecost. A series of notes that were used as a "chaconne without a ground bass" to provided unity in the work. Each recurrence of the chaconne were varied harmonically and contrapuntally to provide further interest. The music is contemporary, but lyrical. Honestly, this is my first time to set a sacred latin text to music.
