Saint John Vianney Catholic Church, in Houston, TX is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Music. This is a large parish of 4800 families and is located in west Houston. A knowledge and proficiency of the Roman Catholic liturgy is necessary to serve in this position and to build the choral program. A degree in choral conducting and experience is needed. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Plan and oversee the music at the eight weekend masses
2. Rehearse and conduct the choirs of SJV
3. Schedule cantors and other musicians as needed
4. Plan and organize special liturgies and concerts
5. Handle administrative matters
