April 3rd performance of Bach's St. John Passion
  • For those within commuting distance to Cambridge, Massachusetts, I highly recommend this Sunday's 3 p.m. performance of Bach's Passion According to John , BWV 245, at St. Paul Church. The work will be sung by the Seraphim Singers in conjunction with the St. Paul Adult Choir and accompanied by the renowned Orchestra of Emmanuel Music. Jennifer Lester, founder of the Seraphim Singers and the person most responsible for shaping SPAC into one of the best all-volunteer church choirs in America, will conduct. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $20 ($10 for students and senior citizens).

Of special interest to those who have attended past CMAA colloquia, the role of Jesus will be sung by Michael Olbash.

Personally I had no idea Michael was also a singer. Here I thought he was just a terrific organist, and choirmaster, oh! and composer.
