Solemn High Mass in DC with Special Music Tomorrow

    This Sunday, February 13, the 5:00 pm Solemn High Mass at Old St Mary's will include the choral group Musikanten, singing the Missa Pange Lingua and motets of Josquin des Pres. The men's schola will sing the Gregorian chant propers for the Fifth Sunday after Epiphany. All are welcome.

    Old St Mary's is located at 727 Fifth St NW in Washington, near Fifth and H Sts in Chinatown. The nearest subway station is Metro Center. Parking is on the street or in a small church lot.

    He (or you) meant Sixth Sunday after Epiphany, of course. (It's that singing the same set of Propers for four weeks running that's got us confused.) And, to pick even further, the nearest subway is Gallery Place/Chinatown (unless you feel you need the extra few blocks walk from Metro Center). Nearest pub is the Irish Channel, just across the way...
