Hello,
I was wondering if someone out there might offer a bit of help. A friend has asked me to help find the original liturgical origins of this text:
Est haec virga Dei mater flos ortus ab illa miro plenus odore. Alleluia
According to the CANTUS database [http://publish.uwo.ca/~cantus/], in some chant manuscripts, the text is used as a Responsory verse in either Matins or Vespers for the feast of St. Anne, Mother of Mary (June 26). I don't find it in the modern books. I suspect the Office texts were altered when the Feast became Ss. Joachim and Anne.
