In the effort to assemble plainchant materials for singing the office of Matins, I've prepared an English version "Te decet laus," the hymn following the Gospel reading in the monastic rite. I adapted the translation of the text from "Monastic Breviary Matins" to the neumae in the Liber Responsorialis. The music also required a little re-working, to fit the translation. The rubrics remain in Latin, as they appear in the original book.
I don't possess any sort of academic expertise with this sort of thing, I'm just a musician with some experience singing chant. It's my first attempt, and I'm stabbing in the dark a little. If anyone would care to inspect the result, please feel free to download the pdf. And if anyone finds it of practical use, so much the better.
