    Friends,

    In November, I shared with you an example of an SATB A Cappella Chabanel Psalm. (discussion)

    Today, a high school singer was helping me record some Chabanel Psalms after Mass.

    She wanted to sing one A Cappella (with SATB voicing).

    We quickly did one, and I am pleased with the result:

    I am your servant, the son of your handmaid;
    you have loosed my bonds.

    To you will I offer sacrifice of thanksgiving,
    and I will call upon the name of the LORD.
    My vows to the LORD I will pay

    I just LOVE these done a cappella.
    Until I heard the other a cappella one you did, I only like the Chabanel Psalm project "in theory."
    That is- I thought it was great that it existed, that it was a way better option than most others, and that it was such a blessing that it was free.
    But I just couldn't get all that excited about it (no matter how much I try, I just don't like the organ).

    Anyway- when you released the other one in November, I really, really loved it. And this one as well.

    Adam,

    Thank you! I enjoy doing recordings with high school students because it "proves" that these Psalms are within reach.
  • Spectacular!
