    If you haven't heard Westminster Cathedral's Vespers for the Immaculate Conception, you're in for a treat. Just do it today, because soon it will be gone.

  • Kathy, thanks for posting this. It's good to hear the modern office given a solemn treatment.
    Interesting that the BBC announcer called the motet sung before the office, presumably during the procession, an "introit."
    The alternating chant and polyphonic verses was a nice touch too, especially for the high feast day.

    David, in my childhood Protestant times, an "introit" was anything sung just before the beginning of the worship service.
