For making printed music, I've used the Meinrad 'Melody" font on OS/X for a while. There are a few keys on the Mac keyboard which don't precisely behave as documented for the font. For example, option-W ought to make the glyph "Up: 2nd/3rd" on D, but it causes a giant Greek sigma to appear instead.
Today I finally figured out why: the keyboard layout is subtly different from how it was when the font was first designed.
Questions: (a) anyone else use these fonts on a Mac and had/have these troubles, and (b) anyone got a solution? (My workaround is to copy the required character from a line of music I typed two years ago before the changes happened...)
