Our Choir and Cantors are going to be giving a performance during Advent. I am a Cantor and have been given the task of singing a song based on Isaiah 9: 2,6,7.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me?
    I am a Tenor

For a solo aria? Do what Handel would have and transpose For behold... The people that walked. You could also get ideas for titles to Google here, and dont forget to search Oxford Music Online.

In Latin or English? In what style? Baroque, Plainchant, Romantic, or 21st Century? Homophonic or Contrapuntal?

I thought about composing my own tune from the passages but thought there might be something already that might work.

I do not care it is in Latin or English or the style. I do not read square notes yet so I would prefer standard notation.

    Thank you for your assistance
