I'm hoping someone may be able to answer a question I have about the usus antiquior: in 1960, the general Roman Rite changed the determination (mainly for Matins) of the Sundays from August through November such that the "first Sunday of August" became the Sunday on or after 1 August (i.e., the Sunday falling 1~7 August), rather than the Sunday nearest 1 August (i.e., the Sunday falling 29 July~4 August), which was the earlier custom; this had implications for the dates of the fall Ember Days and also involved perpetually supressing the "second week of November"; my question is whether the monastic usage followed suit or retained the pre-1960 method.
