Help in identifying credo and chants
  • Hi everyone, I found a video of a tridentine mass in youtube. Here is the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=enWiFcsBqIE

Anyone from the community who knows what is the credo and the communion chant they are singing?
  • The Credo is Credo II; the Communio is Unus militum.
  • Thank you mark for the response. How about the chant after the Unus militum? What is the title and where can it be found?

I call that the "Camptown races sing this song" Communion because of beginning pitches.

...and you thought Stephen Foster was un-acquainted with real music, eh?

By the way, there is a good little museum about Stephen Foster on the campus of U. Pittsburgh.

I can't identify it. I think the first word is mundus, but other than that I find it pretty much unintelligible. At any rate, it's not one of the propers of the Mass. If you can make out the words, you can probably just google them and learn what the chant is, but good luck with that.
  • I hope I heard it right but it sound like the first words are "cundus sanguinis". Not so sure but I am still trying to listen to it. It seems like it has an antiphon. Not so sure, really.
