After a year, we are singing the communion antiphon (various settings and possibilities) and the proper Marian antiphon. In the choir's absence, I sang the liturgy myself and was stunned to hear the level of people singing the Salve Regina in Latin. Amazing! Particularly from a community that prides itself on being "contemporary". Don't give up on the Latin. It can be done.
Be patient and persistent. A little at a time it will happen.
