In Praise of Paul Gibson

    Perhaps many of you know of this composer already, but in case some don't, I want to call attention to him.

    Paul Gibson has composed a sizeable number of sacred works, many based on chants, for choirs of varying descriptions, mostly SATB. If you go to his website, http://www.paulgibsonmusic.com/liturgical_music/, you can find recorded fragments of all the pieces.

    It looks like his work is very nice. We need to show support for composers writing worthy music instead of always talking about ones who aren't.

    He wrote a lovely Salve Regina for Zephyr that is on the album "Choir of Angels II: California Mission Music. Of course, the entire CD is terrific.
